Start simple, then turn on script blocking when you are ready
7SS Cookie Consent includes two modes:
Simple Acknowledgment Notice
Displays a basic cookie message with a single acknowledgment button.
This is the recommended starting point for most users while they review what cookies, analytics tools, or tracking scripts their site uses.
Full Consent Controls
Displays Accept, Reject, and Customize options.
This mode can manage optional scripts added through the plugin’s Script Manager.
If you have not yet added your analytics, marketing, or tracking scripts to the Script Manager, we recommend using Simple Acknowledgment Notice first.
That helps avoid giving visitors the impression that optional scripts are being fully controlled before you have configured them.
What does it actually do?
7SS Cookie Consent can work in two different ways.
In Simple Acknowledgment Notice mode, it displays a clear message letting visitors know your site uses cookies.
In Full Consent Controls mode, it allows visitors to accept, reject, or customize optional script categories such as analytics and marketing.
Scripts added through the 7SS Cookie Script Manager are held until the visitor gives permission for that category.

Place the Cookie Settings button manually using:
No forced branding
No “Powered by” badge is added to your visitors’ experience.
What is the Script Manager?
The Script Manager is where you place optional tracking scripts that should only run after visitor consent.
Examples may include:
- Google Analytics
- Meta Pixel
- Microsoft Clarity
- Hotjar
- ad tracking scripts
- remarketing scripts
Instead of placing those scripts directly in your theme, header, footer, or another plugin, you can place them inside 7SS Cookie Consent and assign them to a category.
If a visitor accepts that category, the script loads.
If a visitor rejects that category, the script stays blocked.
Recommended setup process
Step 1: Start with Simple Acknowledgment Notice
Enable the basic banner first so your site has a clear cookie notice while you review your setup.
Step 2: Review your site’s scripts
Check whether your site uses analytics, marketing pixels, embedded tracking tools, or third-party scripts.
Step 3: Add optional scripts to the Script Manager
Move scripts you want managed into the correct category, such as Analytics or Marketing.
Step 4: Switch to Full Consent Controls
Once your optional scripts are configured, enable full consent controls so visitors can accept, reject, or customize their choices.
What 7SS Cookie Consent does not claim
7SS Cookie Consent is a privacy and consent tool. It is not legal advice and does not guarantee compliance with any specific privacy law.
The plugin controls scripts that are added through its Script Manager. It does not automatically identify, remove, or control every script that may be loaded by your theme, another plugin, an embedded service, or third-party code.
We believe it is better to be clear and honest than to over promise.
Why we built it
Sometimes you can’t find the right tool you need. That’s when I make my own. Many cookie plugins are either too basic or too bloated.
Some only show a banner but do not help manage scripts. Others turn into complicated compliance platforms with confusing settings, subscriptions, and heavy dashboards.
